You’ll know Gaura-arati by her vibrant spirit and contagious laughter. Gaura-arati has been practicing yoga throughout New Zealand since the age of 14. She’s a full time volunteer at Bhakti Lounge trained in hatha yoga. She also feels enthusiastic about kirtan – a basic tool for grounding, centering and uplifting the mind and consciousness, which she weaves through her classes leaving you feeling totally revived, tingling from head to toe and eager for more.
Teacher: Sudha Nidhi
By trade Sudha Nidhi is a landscape artist and in his spare time he volunteers at Bhakti Lounge as an expert gourmet chef. He has been practising yoga for 10 years and recently stepped up to take the challenge of guiding others on their mat. His classes encompass his artistic touch and cool head.
Teacher: Campak Gaur
Campak Gaur’s flowing and grounding style of yoga has been evident through her five years of teaching in both Australia and New Zealand. She completed her training with Atma Yoga in Auckland and is currently teaching at Bhakti Lounge, Victoria University, Exodus as well as various corporate yoga ventures around the city. Campak teaches with the goal of her students coming out more relaxed in body, peaceful in mind and uplifted in spirit. She loves teaching and sharing the benefits of yoga with others.
Do I need to book or can I just turn up to any class, any time?
You can either book or pay by cash. Online bookings are recommended for the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Yoga + Dinner classes. Please note that there is no eftpos, so please bring cash if you do not book online.
Is there anything I should tell my yoga teacher?
If you have any injuries or are pregnant.
What to wear?
Light exercise clothing is fine. It should be breathable and allow freedom of movement.
What to bring?
All yoga equipment is provided. You may bring your own mat if you prefer. To enhance your yoga practise, try to come with an empty stomach (restrain from eating for at least 2 hours before). It also saves you space for dinner afterwards! Please bring cash as we don’t have eftpos.
